About the Client
Qubiqa Group is a Danish company with an 80-year history of designing and manufacturing specialized machinery for a wide range of industries. The company embraces a strong Scandinavian culture, which it integrates into its Polish branch.
Qubiqa A/S in Esbjerg and CH System in Naestved design and produce end-of-line equipment for various industries, including insulation manufacturing and food processing. Their machines are delivered to customers worldwide.
Qubiqa Sp. z o.o. in Piła, Poland, manufactures and supplies conveyors, switchboards, and other smaller machines to the group's Danish divisions.
Job summary
Qubiqa is currently establishing a new programming hub in Katowice. In collaboration with our client, we are looking for an Automation Engineer.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, test, and troubleshoot PLC-based automation systems using Siemens and Rockwell platforms.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams on control system integration.
• Ensure systems comply with safety and automation standards.
• Document function, operation, program structures, updates, and service activities.
• Coordinate with internal and customer teams to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
• Travel to Qubiqa HQ in Esbjerg DK for Factory Function Testing (FFT) and Factory Acceptance Testing.
• Travel internationally to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and service.
Job requirements
Key qualifications:
Education: degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or similar.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience with industrial automation and PLC programming.
Skills:
• Hands-on able to troubleshot and fix minor electrical issues.
• Proficiency in either Siemens or Rockwell systems.
• Experience with communication protocols such as Profinet, Profibus and Ethernet/IP.
• Experience or familiarity with servo/motion systems like Siemens S120/S210 or Rockwell Kinetix 5700 is a strong advantage.
• A structured and self-motivated approach with strong problem-solving skills.
Additional requirements:
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• International travel required (100–150 days/year).
