On behalf of Epos Audio, we are looking for an experienced concept manager for their new New-Product-Innovation team.

As Concept Manager, you will be part of their New-Product-Innovation team with the responsibility to conceptualize ideas for new products in context of Market, Technology and Business. The team already consists of experts in User Insights, UX design and Technical concepts of devices.

About the position

You’ll be working with product concepting, for the integrated solutions in digital communication that interface with 3rd party client and cloud services. Your focus will be secure that concepts are developed for great user experience end-to-end, based on high performance and technical interoperability with a growing software ecosystem.

Your responsibility is to assess new ideas and business opportunities in the early phases with respect to the software applications and services that will form the end-to-end solution. From there you will scope and define new product concepts, endpoint to cloud, based on technology platforms and strategic alliance programs.

You will work in close collaboration with functions in Product Management and in R&D.

It is your responsibility define the elements that form a viable solution, which is both technically feasible and fulfilling the needs from a market point of view. It is important that the concept takes into account the evolutions in partner-requirements and our product roadmap.

You will:

  • Review idea briefs from product managers and innovation partners, and create the technical concepts that can be matured and realized in development projects
  • Ensure concepting is done with focus on the end-to-end solution, from a software perspective
  • Be responsible for presenting and communicating concepts and overall architectures to stakeholders
  • Follow partner roadmaps and enabling technologies with respect to application-SW and Cloud-based services
  • Ensure that technical requirements and design constraints are evaluated with software architects (Embedded and Cloud) to pave the road for a smooth transition to the development phase
  • Identify the potential gaps and risks to be addressed by the project
  • Ensure proper balance between concepts and time-to-market and cost
  • Support Roadmap and portfolio discussions while keeping your knowledge updated on the on-going platforms and architectures by R&D

One of the fundamental principles for EPOS Audio's growth is the close relationship between the different competence areas. The efficient interaction between them are a pre-condition for the continuous development of EPOS' business.

In your role you will in particular be scoping concepts together with SW Architects, Product Managers and Strategic Alliance Managers.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or SW engineering
  • 5+ years in SW architect-role or working with SW System design
  • Experience with digital products and services, where embedded and high-level software interact
  • Good project- and stakeholder management skills - across Product Management and R&D
  • Able to match complex technology with business-needs and propose solutions
  • Experience from working cross-functionally in an international organization
  • Result-oriented and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Team player with excellent communication skills in written and oral Danish and English
  • Valid work & resident permit for Denmark

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ideally, your experience comes from working in a similar role in a global setup in which you have focused on device-to-cloud solutions for mass market deployment
  • Previous experience within Strategic Alliances and Technical account management of software is an advantage
