Due to strong and continuous growth, we are looking for a new colleague to join EPOS’ Digital Signal processing team.

Developing tools for audio algorithm development and audio test automation

You will become part of EPOS’ Digital Signal Processing team that is embedded in the software development department with expertise in DSP, embedded software, software test and web (Cloud). 

In general, EPOS work in cross-functional project teams with acoustics, software and hardware engineers. Additionally, you will work across the different project teams and drive the continuous integration and delivery of software tools and the test framework.

You will be the architect and developer on the framework that enables test automation of features that are implemented at the end of each sprint. The automated test framework must also cover the end-to-end audio quality of the products and therefore you will need to pay attention to all parts of the audio chain such as transducers, acoustics, electronics and the intelligent signal processing software that ties it all together. On top of that, you will also be part of the development of EPOS’ tools for audio algorithm tuning, audio algorithm prototyping and development.

In particular, you will:

  • Develop inhouse automated audio test framework and tools, tying test automation into EPOS’ DevOps tools to validate product specific features and use cases
  • Ensure that product quality is made visible during the development projects
  • Be a key participant in the design of an automated test strategy
  • Drive the definition and implementation of test automation with focus on roadmap requirements
  • Build a test framework that enables continuous integration and continuous delivery by developing an end-to-end setup including hardware, software, acoustics and servers
  • Continuous scan of test automation trends and tools to keep up to date on new opportunities
  • Be the owner of road map on tools and test automation, where you might need to prioritize requirements from different stakeholder

For this exciting job opportunity, the following qualifications and skills are indispensable:

  • Expertise with Python and test frameworks
  • Expertise with CI/CD scripting
  • Experience with embedded systems
  • Experience with DevOps
  • Working knowledge of C

It’s a plus, if you hold the following qualifications:

  • Audio DSP experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with real-time audio handling (sample rates, buffering, PCM, drivers, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Data protocols, Bluetooth, DECT and/or USB
  • Be an outgoing team player, used to work with many interfaces and in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills in written and oral English
